About Smoke Ring Summit

From the meat counter to the backyard

I'm Brandon, the founder of Smoke Ring Summit. I spent nearly two decades cutting meat and managing meat departments. That work taught me to look closely at marbling, grain, fat structure, thickness, trim, and the quality of each cut before it ever reaches a smoker.

Meat-counter experience is the foundation of Smoke Ring Summit.

Pellet grills make steady heat more approachable, but they don't choose the brisket, trim it, watch the bark, decide when to wrap, or give it a proper rest. Those decisions still belong to the cook.

I'm building Smoke Ring Summit to explain those decisions through practical guides, real cooks, and honest gear testing. My goal is to help backyard cooks make better BBQ without wasting time, money, or meat.

The free Brisket Buying Checklist walks through the flat, point, visible marbling, fat cap, shape, and how a cut fits your cook. Compare two briskets side by side and choose with more confidence.
